The pressure switch automatically starts and stops the water pump by the opening and closing of the valve. As a result, there is a constant pressure in the water pump. If there is no water, the dry running protection is activated, and the pump stops working.
The pressure switch reduces the effects of water hammer.
The pump controller consists of hydraulic and electronic parts:
The hydraulic part:
• Stop valve
• Valve sensitive to flow change
• Form-pressed and enhanced plastic body
• Membrane and spring sensitive to pressure change
• Check valve that prevents water leaks when the membrane is damaged
The electronic part:
• a robust casing from self-extinguishing and form-pressed plastic
• a single tested and controlled electronic card with insulated conducting path.
• a relay with a switching capacity of approx. 100.000 cycles during continuous operation with a maximum charge of 1.1 kW.
• a varistor (additional protective element) against voltage spikes and surges.
In case your pump has a power more than 1.1 kW, you should install a standard power contractor or an appropriate power relay. The 380-V power contractors are also suitable for the 380/400-V three-phase pumps.

- Ensure that electrical connections and cables are properly sealed and watertight to prevent short circuits.
- If the cable or the plug is damaged due to external influences, the cable must not be repaired. It has to be replaced with a new one.
- Do not exceed the maximum permissible current and voltage load of the pressure switch.
